Over the last year fitness wear has really come into it’s own. Spurned on by the pandemic, this comfy and practical clothing has surpassed it’s gym bunny status and made its way on to the limbs of almost every adult in the UK.

One active wear brand to have recently caught our eye is new British fitness wear brand FLŌA. Originally specialising in garments for elite winter sports, following the COVID Pandemic many of FLŌA’s clients, suggested the brand move into the fitness arena because they found their garments were so perfect for home fitness, walking the dog or just lounging in front of Netflix. With extensive knowledge in design and technical ability FLŌA’ made the pivot from winter adventure sports to fitness apparel.

Utilising their specialised knowledge of inner wear, FLŌA has crafted two new collections each with a fresh minimal look. The merino-crafted Backcountry for alpine and adventure sports and the All Action for multi-purpose exercise and fitness.

The Backcountry, our personal favourite blends the natural properties of merino with advanced engineering to create a circular knitted 4-way stretch garment that maps your body providing you with warmth, breathability and support. Ideal for winter workouts, outdoor hikes or cosying up on the sofa, this next generation merino is both beautiful soft and wonderfully light weight.

The All Action collection, is for those sweat dripping workouts, blending a fast-drying Dri Release fabric with plant based Tencel for extra softness sewn with Merrow stitching for movement and chafe-free comfort. Another notable accent, featured in both collections, is the all essential high waistband, a must for any downward dogs or deadlifts, as well as their long hems and discreet pockets, ideal for storing your key while out for a morning jog or dog walk.

Of course these day’s in not only about style and performance, in order for a brand to really show their worth, they’ve got to score pretty high on the eco credentials.
