The Clarins Mother-To-Be Treatment
We’re not sure about you but if there is ever a time we feel like spoiling ourselves with a beautifying and pampering treatment it’s when we’re pregnant.
Because lets be honest here, despite some of us claiming to ‘have never felt more beautiful’ and to be loving our ‘pregnancy glow’ the majority of us pregnant ladies (ourselves included) feel like we need a little extra helping hand in the beauty department during these tender months.
Frustratingly most treatments worth their salt are out of bounds during pregnancy (lets just put it down to insurance issues). Thankfully however more and more beauty companies are hearing the call of pregnant ladies and rapidly coming up with an array of treatments specially tailored for the mummy-to-be such as Clarin's Mother-to-Be and New Mother Treatment.
Specially adapted for pre and post-natal stages of pregnancy, as well as taking in to account of how you both look and feel, the Clarins Mother-to-Be and New Mother Treatment is a 75 minute session of pure indulgence for face and body.
Available at Clarins Spa's world over, the treatment focuses on easing backache, fluid retention, stress, fatigue and tired legs, as well as improving skin tone and elasticity. Sounds right up my street.
In desperate need of some pampering, I headed to the Clarins Spa Selfridges to put the treatment to the test. Nestled within the vast beauty heaven of Selfridges, the Clarins Spa is a serene retreated away from the hustle and bustle of busy shoppers.
My 75-minute session begins with a soothing back massage, followed by a mini facial before finishing off with a bump, leg and feet massage to leave me feeling energised and wonderfully relaxed, with baby-soft skin. Which it did.
My only gripe would be, if you could even call it a gripe, is that after the busy day I'd had running around Central London avec bump, I could have done with a longer back and foot massage!
