Festival of the Girl is Back for 2023
Festival of the Girl is back for 2023 to celebrate International Day of the Girl, as the groundbreaking festival for girls aged 7-11 celebrates turning 5.
A not-for-profit initiative, Festival Of The Girl aims to inspire and engage girls aged 7 - 11 years and support adults to raise girls in a less stereotyped way.
Taking place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London on Saturday 21st October, this annual event coincides with the UN's International Day of the Girl Child and enables 800 girls plus their families to explore a huge variety of topics from careers, to body positivity, to mental health and sustainability.
On a mission to remove the limitations gender stereotypes place on girls the event gives girls access to an incredible line up of female role models, workshops and activities that they can't always get at school. Most importantly the festival is safe environments for girls to have fun, try something new, and leave with a boost of self confidence.
This year activities and workshops range from:
Coding and robotics to art and sustainability
F1 motorsports and rugby to aviation and gaming
Body confidence and music to podcasting and activism
Science and British Army bootcamps to choreography and wellbeing
Football tricks and design to construction and yoga
And much more...
The Line-Up includes:
The British Army
F1 in Schools and Girls on Track
Aunt Joy Gallery
WUKA, British Cycling
Sex Ed Matters
Flight Crowd
Everyday Racism
