Could the Slender Tone be Making a Comeback?

Could the Slender Tone be Making a Comeback?

Remember the days of the Slender Tone ads? You know, the ones I’m talking about. Ronaldo, six pack on display, claiming all you need to get his abs of steel is a few weekly sessions with his favourite gizmo.

Ok, so it wasn’t actually Slender Tone but a beefed up version called SIXPAD but you get the picture. Anyway. Unfortunately for the team at SIXPAD (and those poor geezers that fell for it), it became pretty obvious that the only thing their magic belt boosted, was Ronaldo’s bank balance.

While Slender Tone (and SIXPAD) may have had its day, the idea behind it hasn’t. And for very good reason. Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) works. The problem is, is that these at home kits are simply not powerful enough to provide any real results.

Understanding it’s true potential, the team at InMode have combined high strength EMS with BioPolar Radio Frequency (RF) to create EvolveX, a cutting edge treatment that tones the muscle, tightens skin and burns fat all in one treatment.

A Slender Tone on steroids, just one body sculpting session of the EvolveX is comparable to doing an astounding 20,000 sit-ups. Something I’m not even sure I would be able to achieve in a lifetime, let alone in 60 minutes!

The most advanced body contouring technology on the market, EvolveX can combine it’s technologies to remodel skin, target adipose (fat) tissue and tone muscles, according to the clients preference. Yet despite it’s impressive claims, I arrived at Yuchi Medical on London’s Harley Street, with very little expectation of the EvolveX.

After three wonderful babies, even my punishing works outs at the gym have failed to rid my tummy of that last bit of stubborn baby fat. ‘How is one session of what should be a six to ten session treatment plan, going to do anything” I grumbled. is going to do nothing.

Regardless, I wanted to see what al the fuss was about and watched with interest as Dr. Kristy Lau applied a pad to my back, before strapping the device to my stomach.

The EvolveX works on different intensity levels, so to ease me in we start low at around 14 and build up as the treatment goes along. Though not painful, it takes a moment to get use to the clenching sensation of the Electric Muscle Stimulation.

Forty minutes later, its time for the Radio Frequency. Working on the deepest levels of the dermis, to tighten and firm the skin, the RMS feels like a nice wave of warmth in contrast to the rather jolting sensation of the EMS.

Treatment over, we take a set of after photos and compare them to the ones we took at the beginning of the session. The results were unexpected. After a single session (of what is meant to require at least six sessions), the results where obvious. My waist looked visibly tighter flatter and significantly more defined.

As I leave Yuchi Medical, I smuggly note how the waistband of my jeans feels just that little bit looser, as I ponder how many sessions it would take to get abs to rival Ronaldo’s!

Price starts from £295. For further information on EvolveX or to book your appointed visit yuchimedical.co.uk
