4 Safe Ways to Modify Your PPE

4 Safe Ways to Modify Your PPE

The science is out and it seems to be unanimous. While wearing a mask can’t 100% protect you from contracting Covid 19, it can help to reduce your risk of catching it or passing it on to someone else.

A reason why many of us are yet to adopt a mask when out and about, is the fear that it will be uncomfortable or restrictive to wear, yet the one of the best things about PPE is how easily it can be modified and adapted to suit the needs of the individual wearing it.

With the government expected to announce compulsory wearing of masks insides shops any day now, we asked Frontshield, a leading British supplier of PPE, to share their top tips on safely modifying your PPE .

1. Anti-fogging solution

You can use an anti-fogging solution or even gently washes your lenses with soap and water before wearing glasses or a visor. This will

reduce steaming and keep water droplets from building up and causing fog.

2. Hairband

To protect your ears and make your mask or mouth shield more comfortable, try attaching them to a hair band.

3. Sunglasses

For added convenience, comfort, sun-protection and even appearance, attach your visor to your sunglasses.

4. Custom for kids

It can sometimes be tough to get children to do–well–most things! Why not personalise the appearance of your child’s PPE to encourage them to wear it and make the experience fun. You can even customise yours to match!
