What’s On Offer? The Liberty London salon may be the smallest of the Taylor Taylor salons but don’t make the mistake of thinking their range of services are any less extensive. Whether you are after a simple cut, the latest hair colouring techniques including balayage, ecaille and ombre, permanent straightening, Brazilian blowouts or Oplapex, ‘Taylor Taylor London at Liberty’ has you covered. And thanks to their team of gifted stylists and colour technicians who all thrive on commercial, editorial and session work outside the salon you can rest in the knowledge that you are with a team in the know. Of course no Taylor Taylor salon would be complete without their infamous complimentary cocktail bar and their Liberty London salon does not disappoint, boasting a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails along with fresh juices, tea and coffees.
What I had? In desperate need of a root touch up and with a minor (or major depending on your view point) hair disaster to fix (I’m talking bright orange streak at the back of my hair, that thankfully could only be seen when my hair was up) I booked in for a full colour with Oplapex (a breakthrough hair treatment that quite literally repairs the bonds that are broken when you colour your hair) with Colour Director Michael Kelly. With 11 years experience, Michael, who has recently moved to our shores from Australia, has worked with the likes of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and Marie Claire, and was a finalist for Australian Hair Colourist of the Year. Putting his full skill set to use, Michael worked in a mixture of highlights and free hand balayage to transform my locks in to a luscious creamy blonde with lighter tips and slightly darker roots, allowing for a more natural look with room for regrowth.
