Moddershall Oaks Country Spa + Retreat

Where? Set in rural, rugged Staffordshire, Moddershall Oaks is a contemporary country spa retreat, specialising in high class spa detox treatments aimed at eliminating environmental and dietary toxins from the body in an effort to stimulate better health and vitality.

What’s On Offer? Offering everything from half-day trips, to day packages and relaxing spa breaks, Moddershall Oaks cater for all for all tastes and pockets.

Facilities include a beauty spa equipped with indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, soothing reflexology foot baths, serene showers, steam rooms and heated loungers; plus a full list of spa treatments from facials to massages and body treatments, all using much loved Elemis products.

As part of the spa’s recent refurbishment there is also a brand new outdoor courtyard with Kelo sauna and heated vitality spa pool, indoor relaxation room, spa deli and ‘Snug’; A private beauty suite specially designed for pamper parties.

For those looking for something a little more active, there is a gymnasium, woodside tennis court and complimentary use of bicycles and cycling equipment, so you can explore the local area.

What we had? In order to gain the full Moddershall Oaks experience we opted for their Spa Escape package involving; a two course evening meal, overnight stay in a boutique suite, cooked breakfast and a 25-minute tension relieving back, neck & shoulder massage for two.

What I thought? With it’s combination of indulgent beauty treatments, delicious food and friendly staff; we thoroughly enjoyed our 24 hours at Moddershall Oaks. The recent renovation practically oozes relaxation retreat and it’s outdoor heated vitality spa pool pared with a glass of bubbly and stunning view of the British country side is the ideal place to wash away your worries.

The only splinter in our stay, if you can even call it that, was that the boutique rooms although comfortable and spacious, the spa fully equipped and the restaurant boasting scrumptious food alongside gorgeous lake view, as yet lack the sparkle of the newly designed courtyard area.

Despite this, Moddershall Oaks is a lovely and welcoming country spa retreat and I look forward to seeing the rest of the hotel receive some newly renovated courtyard magic.
