Kayla Itsines The Girl Who Revolutionised My Approach to Fitness & Nutrition

I first discovered fitness sensation Kayla Itsines while researching social media influencers just over a year ago. But it took almost 8 months of obsessively following her Instagram account @kayla_itsines, not to mention the accounts of her many transformations, before I finally decided to take the plunge and join ‘The Kayla Movement’.

Ok I’m lying. I’ll admit it, it wasn’t actually my idea to join ‘The Kayla Movement’, it was my husbands after becoming determined to gain the six pack sported by so many of her transformations. So in February off this year, my husband and I downloaded Kayla’s famous e-books including her Bikini Body Guide 1 (bbg1) and her H.E.L.P Nutrition Guide, and started our very own bbg journey.

For those of you that don’t know, Kayla Itsines (pronounced It-seen-ness) became an Instagram sensation after posting her clients before and after pictures on her social media account. Her transformations are so sensational that she now has over 3.5 million followers on Instagram, has recently completed a world tour and has a whole community of  #bbggirls on the social media network who all support and encourage each other on their fitness journey.  I particularly love the hashtag #bbgmums, for inspirational images of mums (of all ages) who have transformed their post baby bodies with the use of Kaylas’ Bikini Body Guides.

But why are Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guides so popular and why am I recommending it to mums? For me their are a few stand out reasons as to why Kayla’s Bikini Body Guide knocks most other guides out the ball park.

  1. Speed. At just 28 minutes long her resistance workouts are super quick, add in the fact that you only have to do them 3 times a week and even the busiest of mums will struggle for excuses.
